Enrique Iglesias's India Concert

The year 2012 - out of many important things happened in that year, attending Enrique Iglesias's music concert was one among the best. Having been introduced to Enrique's songs by a dear friend of mine, I soon became a fan. The lyrics, the music, the feeling and ofcourse the man himself - melt my heart. (Well, this was before he released these awful latest albums).

We (me and my other dear friend) were so excited that Enrique was doing a concert in Bangalore!! Thus began the epic journey :P which would take us across Bangalore on a day trip to Somnathpur, hitch up a ride to railway junction with total strangers in the middle of the night, where our train derailed and general liberation of myself among other things.

The concert was supposed to begin at 8 pm and we were at the grounds by 4 pm. We lined up along with ultra modern bangalore fans. Finally they let us in and DJs started to build up the rhythm by playing popular songs.

Long queue at the ground before concert
Enrique was late for the concert but as soon as he started singing famous numbers one by one, we forgot the hours spent waiting. We danced, shouted, yelled, singed along with Enrique and it was exciting to see him very close. We were in the INR 2500 ticket which was the least, yet, we could see him just a few feet away. Kudos to the organisers of the concert!!

Enrique isn't far from us :)
Enrique vanished from the stage and suddenly entered our side of the ground. All we could do was shout and show our love for him. We witnessed "Hero girl" experience and were secretly disappointed for not able to be his "Hero girl" (Well, the girl was hugged and kissed by Enrique!!). Enrique went on to sing many songs and we felt sweetly delighted by the end of the concert. Photo credits - Mridula.

Enrique thanks his fans before leaving!!!
Now began the hitch up ride in a car with a total stranger and his family to Bangalore railway station. We were dropped somewhere near around midnight and ran to catch our train. We were hearing Enrique's songs on an endless loop in our mobiles, that we failed to grasp the derailment of our train. All through the commotion, we were strangely elated, as if on a high or in a daze. 17 hours later we were back to Chennai and it took many days to get back to reality.

Oh Enrique, your concert gave me such a high and I love you. :)
